Greatest Enemy

I am my greatest enemy.
There is a constant battle I fight between me, myself and I.
It is so easy to be critical of oneself.
To self-sabotage our talents, gifts and wisdom.
I question my actions and my thoughts all the time.
I question if I am good enough,
I wonder if  I pushed myself hard enough to deserve what I have or something greater.
I am my greatest enemy because I do not settle for average.

I am my greatest enemy when I loose sight of the promises God has for me.

Thank God for prayers
Thank God for friends
Thank God for family
Thank God for sending words of encouragement my way when I most need it.
Thank God for keeping His promises.

Last night I was under a spell that did not let me sleep.
I kept thinking that I was just a shadow that you could not see.
This morning when I woke up there was light.
The sun was bright.
The shadow was gone.
And now its just you and me.

Wishful Thinking

Wishing Tree - by Ivis M

Do you ever catch yourself wishful thinking?
Wishing for things that might not necessarily make sense to others
but in your mind they are capable of coming true?
I do it all the time.
I wish for things that I want to make my reality.
Eventually they come true.
Not always at the moment or time period that I expect or want them to,
but most of the time my wish come true right when I most need it.
Never stop wishing for, or desiring things that seem unattainable.
When you least expect it they might just show up.
