Home, sweet, home

Sometimes I get this feeling that I am not home when I am home.
Sitting on my couch. Watching my tv or sleeping on my own bed.
I get this feeling that I do not belong.
Where ever I go, what ever I do,  sometimes I feel like it is not enough.
A feeling that there is so much more greatness to be achieved no matter how
much I have achieved already.
I feel a yearning for a place that I havent seen but that I know well.

I was recently reading a book by one of my favorite authors Max Lucado called Traveling Light and speaks about how we must never get too comfortable in this temporary home that we have on earth. Make sure to not carry too much luggage because we are traveling on our way to our permanant home. A place that has beautiful things waiting for us. In his book Lucado he pointed out some important things:

-when we travel on a plane do we buy a king size bed and put it on the plane?
when we travel by train do we hang photos of the people that we love?
when we travel by car, do we put in it a kitchen?
we DO NOT because we know its temporary-

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." book of Matthew

We must remember that all this that we are living is temporary.
Don't focus so much on decorating. On getting too comfortable in a place where you will never be completely comfortable no matter how much you try.
Or building treasures on quick sand.
Enjoy the journey you're in.
Love and live with passion and rember to Travel light,
our permanent home is in heaven!!!!

SeÑaLeS

En las manos te traigo
viejas señales
son mis manos de ahora
no las de antes.
Doy lo que puedo
y no tengo vergüenza
del sentimiento.
Si los sueños y ensueños
son como ritos
el primero que vuelve
siempre es el mismo[...]

MARIO BENEDETTI

To my love,

I do not know the day
or the time
or the place
Yet I dream of that moment when
on a blink of an eye
we will meet face to face
I dream of the day
when I will be able to hold your hand
I want to feel your embrace
I want to hear you whisper that you love me.
That all this time we have waited
was worth
the heartache.
I dream of that day
when you and I surrounded by the sound of the waves
will walk on the ocean shore leaving footprints
that will never wash away.
Until that day arrives I will continue
desperately
  to awaken to the sunrise
where I will find your eyes wide open.
I feel you near.
Your doulos is hear.
When that day comes
my lips will whisper softly to your ear
you are thee
you are thee.

Seek love, be love.

What ever we are in counsious and uncounsious search of is what we will find, reflect and see in others and in life. I have a collection of hearts that I find in rocks, leafs, clouds ect. and I take pictures of them to look at everyonce in a while but I never really share it with anyone. Today my older son and I where doing laundry together and he found this leaf on the floor and said "mom look what I found" with a smile in his face. Its amazing how without knowing you are influencing others, just by your actions they pick up what you are in search of..

Seek love, be love :)

Poetry of the Soul

".A Poet is the most unpoetical of any thing in existence; because he has no Identity - he is continually in for - and filling some other Body - The Sun, The Moon, The Sea and Men and Women who are creatures of impulse are poetical and have about them an unchangeable attribute - the poet has none; no identity'....
John Keats to Richard Woodhouse, 1818

My heart is paralyzed with some sort of enchanted you have caste on it.
you have taken me hostage.
is that not cruelty?
I am dissolving.

-I always think about you and wonder
if you look at the same sunrise and sunset I do.
you have given me something special I will always keep close to my heart.
I think you have given me knowledge and love.
there are days where I feel a tightness in my chest thinking of you and you know,
I always wonder if at that very moment you are thinking of me.
I would say a day doesn't go by that I don't think about you.-

This is poetry; poetry to my heart. Poetry that feeds my soul.
What keeps the stars shining, and my universe in orbit

Honor

When you love someone
do not wait until tomorrow to tell them you love them.
Honor them today.
Tell them how much they mean to you today.
Hold them and hug them today.
Let them know how much of your life you owe to them today.

I love my grandmother.
She has been a hero, a mentor and friend to me.
I love you grandma!!

Why today you might ask?
I share a note an incredible man and Chiropractor I know posted about losing his son recently. I will share it because he shared it with 1000's on facebook so that we will not make the same mistakes. Don't wait until tomorrow it may be to late.

IF U HAVE CHILDREN, AND THEY GROW UP TO BE WHATEVER THEY CHOOSE TO BE, TELL THEM EACH DAY HOW MUCH U LOVE THEM, AND HOW PROUD U ARE .
I WAS BLESSED WITH THE MOST LOVING, GENTLE, GIVING PERSON AVAILABLE, WHO WAS A CHIROPRACTOR, AFTER WHICH HE WAS A LOVING SOUL.
I WAS BLESSED TO HAVE CHRISS FOR 54 YEARS, BUT FAILED TO LET HIM HEAR HOW MUCH I LOVED HIM, FAILED TO HUG HIM ENOUGH, FAILED TO TELL HIM HOW PROUD I WAS OF HIM.
FOR YOUR SAKE, PLEASE DONT DONT LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU OR YOUR CHILD.  I HAVE NEVER FELT SO GUILTY, OR WORTHLESS FOR NOT BEING THE FATHER HE WANTED AND DESERVED.
THE LAST THING HE SAID TO ME BEFORE LEAVING FOR TREATMENT, I'LL MISS YOU.  THE LAST WORDS I COULD UTTER OVER THE PHONE, AS HE WAS JUST MINUTES FROM PASSING, WAS HOW MUCH I LOVED HIM.
TO LITTLE TO LATE.  PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES AS I.

Your friend with abundance of love,
Ivis

Re: Immigrant Mentality

Jary,
I loved your post about being an immigrant and I agree that for the most part people do not care to know your roots, your history or what culture has defined you and given you your special flavor. This reminds me once again of my immigrant status on this earth. I was born in Cuba and then moved to the United States when I was 4. I have heritage in Spain and part of my heart belongs to Morocco and other places I have been. To all these I am considered an immigrant. To some I have been a resident alien. But I have only one permanent Citizenship and this place lays above all the ones I have been to. It is the place of my origin, where  my flavor, and my essence comes from. Where my past, my present and my future lays. I am a permanent citizen of heaven.

What it is crazy and sad is that in my earthy residence there are people trying to make us forget, regret and give up our citizenship. We are letting people get away with taking God out of schools, government, and even churches then when tragedy strikes and people do bad things to other people we ask where God is. This is what happens when you forget where and whom you came from.

My point in relations to your blog is that we must never allow others to change who we are, our history, our essence, our flavor, and our citizen status just because it is convenient. Who cares what others think, or what they want us to be. We are who God created us to be, amazing resident aliens of this world , we are the salt that give the flavor. We are to respect and love one another and plant the seed of hope and love in each and everyone we encounter

We shall always remember our permanent residence and rest assure knowing that one day soon we will return.

"The alien who resides among you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God." From the New Testament Letter to the Hebrews we hear, "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing so some have entertained angels unawares."

Thanks sister for your inspiring words.

Amore, amore..

GOD KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING WHEN HE CREATED LOVE.
IT IS THAT ONE WORD, FEELING, YEARNING THAT WE ARE IN CONSTANT SEARCH OF. THAT ONE THING WE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT AND WILLING TO DIE FOR.
IT BRINGS THE GREATEST JOY WHEN WE HAVE IT AND THE MOST PAIN WHEN WE DONT.
WE WANT IT BACK WITH THE SAME INTENSITY IN WHICH WE GIVE IT.
YOU CAN HEAR IT IN THE SONGS WITHOUT LYRICS.
ITS IN THE LOVERS BREATH, THE LOOK IN THEIR EYES.
IT IS A FUEL FOR POETS.
THE PASSION BEHIND THE ARTS.
IT IS LIFE. by Ivis

Observe...

Observe your thoughts, they become your words.
Observe your words, they become your actions.
Observe your actions, they become your habits.
Observe your habits, they become your character.
Observe your character, for it becomes your destiny.
